Aug 21, 2011. The Machine has been idling during July and August to allow time for vacations, crazy schedules, and more. We're looking forward to getting back on stage throughout Sept, 2011 - Come check us out if you get a chance!!
May 30, 2011. Oh yeah, one of the finest dobro players and pure vocalist you'll hear is back with The Machine! Mr. Dexter Davis. Dexter was and original String Machine member and has played with many great groups over the years. We're honored to share the stage with him again!
Jan 15, 2011. We're excited to have Brian Johnson join the band on bass. Brian is a music virtuoso and we're looking forward to integrating some surprises from Brian into the 2011 shows. Our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Kandis Johnson for sharing her talents and contributions to The String Machine!! If she's anywhere nearby we'll try to bring her back up on stage with us to feature some of her great songs!!
Oct 30, 2010. The Machine is looking forward to opening for Acoustic Manner and The Hotwires on November 11th at The Pour House Music Hall, Raleigh.
August 5, 2010. The Machine was exited to have our show at The Blue Bayou Club selected as an "Indy Pic" by Independent Weekly magazine.
July 2, 2010. We were really excited about last weekend!! Recorded a couple of original songs for the soundtrack of the independent feature film, Southland of the Heart, to be released in 2011. Also, were honored to support Pinecone Music Association for a benefit concert in Cary, NC for musician Jan Johansson. A nice TV clip from channel 14 (Raleigh area) summarizes.
